Orange and Champagne Granita
Impress your dinner party guests by offering them a delicious granita! This glass of organic OJ infused goodness can be served for dessert or as palate cleanser in between courses of an elaborate meal. The best part? It’s basically a fancy adult-slushie. Cheers!
Serves 8
Ingredients:
- 2 cups Uncle Matt’s Organic Orange Juice
- 1 cup Kendall-Jackson Brut Cuvee
- 1/4 cup organic granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup organic honey
- Garnish: Fresh organic basil leaves
Directions:
Pour the juice and champagne into a medium saucepan. Set over medium heat and then whisk in the sugar and honey. Bring to a simmer, whisking until sugar is dissolved. Pour the granita mixture into a square baking pan. Let cool to room temperature, approximately 30 minutes. Cover with plastic wrap and freeze overnight.
To serve, use a fork to scrape the granita into fluffy ice crystals. Scoop into serving cups, garnish with basil leaves and serve immediately.
