Everyone loves donuts, but we might not love all the junky ingredients like artificial colors and flavors that come with the store-bought kinds. Lucky for you, these vegan donuts can be made at home without the additives! What\u2019s more, they\u2019re made with Uncle Matt\u2019s Organic Orange Juice for a perfect citrus twist. Enjoy!<\/p>\n

Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Donuts:<\/em><\/p>\n

1 cup organic all-purpose flour<\/p>\n

1 \u00bc tsp baking powder<\/p>\n

1\/8 tsp baking soda<\/p>\n

\u00bc cup organic sugar<\/p>\n

\u00bc cup organic olive oil<\/p>\n

\u00bd cup organic plant-based milk<\/p>\n

\u00bc cup Uncle Matt\u2019s Organic Orange Juice<\/p>\n

1 \u00bd tsp organic apple cider vinegar<\/p>\n

1 \u00bd tsp vanilla extract<\/p>\n

Zest of 1 organic orange<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Frosting:<\/em><\/p>\n

1 cup organic powdered sugar<\/p>\n

2 tbsp Uncle Matt\u2019s Organic Orange Juice<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Optional garnish decoration:<\/em><\/p>\n

Slices of an organic orange<\/p>\n

1 tbsp organic sugar<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Directions:<\/strong><\/p>\n

1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Preheat oven to 350 degrees<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Grease a 6-hole donut pan with olive oil<\/p>\n

3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Add dry ingredients to a bowl and combine \u2013 flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and sugar<\/p>\n

4.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Add wet ingredients to another bowl and combine \u2013 olive oil, plant-based milk, orange juice, apple cider vinegar, vanilla extract and zest<\/p>\n

5.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Mix until combined and there is no more dry flour. Be sure not to over mix.<\/p>\n

6.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Spoon the batter into the donut pan.<\/p>\n

7.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Bake for 20 minutes or until the donuts pass the toothpick test. Leave in the pan for 5 minutes after cooking. Let cool completely on a cooling rack.<\/p>\n

8.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Make the orange decoration by placing the orange slices on a parchment paper lined baking sheet. Sprinkle the oranges with sugar and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Remove and allow to cool completely. The oranges should be moist and chewy.<\/p>\n

9.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Add powdered sugar to a bowl. Slowly pour orange juice into the sugar stirring as it\u2019s poured. The frosting is ready when it reaches the consistency of a thick white frosting.<\/p>\n

10.\u00a0 Drizzle donuts with the frosting and add a baked orange wedge to each one.<\/p>\n
