Calcium
Not everyone prefers or can consume dairy. While dairy products are considered a great source of calcium, they aren’t the only source of this important nutrient. The Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health lists additional non-dairy sources of calcium. The great news: You’ll find calcium-fortified orange juice on that list!
What’s more, there’s a science-y term called “calcium bioavailability.” This is a fancy way of describing the amount of calcium your body will absorb from the foods you eat. Comparatively, calcium fortified OJ has a “similar total amount of calcium and bioavailability as milk.” This means the extra calcium you’ll find in our Calcium + Vitamin C and Zinc OJ a great option for those who are dairy free.
