Wassail is a delicious holiday drink and perfect for the colder months. It’s a hot cider drink that combines the flavors of oranges and apples with cinnamon and spices. What’s not to like about that? Plus, it features Uncle Matt’s Organic OJ, so it’s super easy to whip up and kid friendly, too!


2 organic apples

8 cups organic apple cider

2 cups Uncle Matt’s Organic orange juice

1/3 cup lemon juice

4 cinnamon sticks

15 whole cloves ,or 1/2 tsp ground cloves

1/4 teaspoon ground organic ginger

1/4 teaspoon ground organic nutmeg

1 tablespoon light brown sugar (optional)

Poke the whole cloves into the apples on all sides. Add all of the ingredients, including the apples, to a large pot over medium low heat.
Bring to a simmer. Simmer for 30-45 minutes. Remove the apples and whole cloves. Ladle into mugs and enjoy!

The fall season is underway, and as it turn cooler with a nip in the air, one of our favorite ways is to warm up is with some apple cider. Try this recipe featuring Uncle Matt’s Organic apple juice to keep things simple, delicious and organic!
12 cups of Uncle Matt’s Organic apple juice
6 cinnamon sticks
1/2 cup of good quality jarred caramel sauce, plus more for drizzling
Organic whipped cream
Heat apple juice and cinnamon sticks in the slow cooker for about 4 hours on high. Let the cinnamon sticks soften and uncurl. Before serving, stir in 1/2 cup of caramel sauce and serve in heat proof cups. Top with whipped cream and a drizzle of caramel (use non-dairy whip cream if you are lactose intolerant or have dairy allergies).

1 cup Uncle Matt’s Organic orange juice (or Uncle Matt’s Organic Orange Juice with Turmeric & Probiotics)

2 teaspoons fresh organic minced ginger

1/2 teaspoon turmeric

1 cup ice cubes


Add all ingredients to the blender and blend until smooth, about 60 to 90 seconds. Add 1/2 cup of your favorite nuts for a creamier texture, or almond/coconut milk. You can also add your favorite protein powder to make it a complete meal.

Servings: About 2 cups

2 Organic Bananas
2 cups Organic Strawberries

Place all ingredients in a blender and puree until smooth.

You Will Need

1 (750 ml) bottle chilled dry sparkling wine or champagne
3 cups (750 ml) chilled Uncle Matt’s Organic orange juice
1/2 cup (120 ml) Grand Marnier or triple sec, optional


Fill 8 champagne flutes 1/2 full with chilled sparkling wine. Top with orange juice. If you are using, top mimosa with 1 tablespoon of Grand Marnier or triple sec.

4-5 leaves of kale, stems removed
3/4 cup of baby spinach leaves
1/2 cup of sliced carrots
1/4 cup of Uncle Matt’s Organic Apple Juice
1/2 cup of Organic Blueberries

Add all ingredients to your blender and blend until smooth. Pour, and enjoy!

1 tbsp chia seeds

1 bottle Frey Vineyards red wine
1 cup Uncle Matt’s Organic orange juice
1/2 pineapple, chopped (roughly 1 cup)
1 Uncle Matt’s organic orange, sliced into thin rounds and then halved
1/2 organic pear, cubed


Slice fruit and drop into a large pitcher.

Add orange juice, then wine and stir.

Refrigerate until serving – 4-6 hours would be ideal so the flavors can mingle.

Drink within 1-2 days.

10 minutes


1 half-wheel slice of organic pink grapefruit

2 oz. gin

12 oz. Uncle Matt’s Organic grapefruit juice

2 oz. tonic

2 oz. soda

Sea salt


Build a medium-heat fire in a charcoal grill, or heat a gas grill to medium. (Alternatively, heat a cast-iron grill pan over medium-high.) Place grapefruit on grill and cook, turning once, until lightly charred, about 1 minute. Remove from heat and set aside. To an ice-filled rocks glass, add gin and grapefruit juice. Top with tonic and soda, and garnish with grilled grapefruit slice sprinkled with sea salt.

Your Friday wind down beverage is right here. This will quickly become your favorite libation to enjoy by yourself, or make a few to share with friends!


1 tsp organic ginger
2 lemons
3 rosemary leaves
1/4 cup lemon juice
1 1/2 oz lime juice
1  cup granulated sugar
2.5 oz Uncle Matt’s Organic Orange juice
1/2 cup of your favorite pale ale beer
2 oz bourbon
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup sparkling/mineral water or club soda


  1. To a large skillet, add the sugar, water and lemon juice. Bring to a gentle simmer and whisk until the sugar dissolves. Add lemons in a single layer and simmer for 15 minutes, flipping them once at 7 minutes. Remove from heat and transfer the lemons to a parchment paper-lined plate. Refrigerate for about an hour to chill before serving.
  2. In a cocktail shaker, add the bourbon, ginger, sugar and rosemary. Muddle the ingredients to blend and meld together. Add the sparkling water, pale ale beer, Uncle Matt’s Organic orange juice, and lime juice. Add a little ice and place the lid of the shaker on top. Shake vigorously for about 10 seconds and then pour into glasses, garnish with lemon slices and extra rosemary, if desired.
